About Tailored Tutor
About the Owner…
Teri earned a Bachelors in Elementary and Middle Education with an ESOL endorsement in 1998 from the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater. A few years later, she received her Masters in the Art of Teaching Elementary Education. Teri is also a certified Reading Recovery Teacher, which focuses on early literacy skills and reading. She was an elementary school teacher for 7 years prior to becoming an Instructional/Literacy Coach. During her teaching career, she has acquired many hours of reading and math intervention trainings by attending several webinars and conferences. Her passion and drive to help students excel in their learning is the motivating factor behind Teri’s tireless effort to reach students beyond the classroom. Teri believes that all students can learn and grow as scholars, if the learning is tailored to their needs.

Elementary Academic Support
Performing at or above grade level in the first few years of school is critical to a child’s academic success. For students who are not proficient in skills like reading and math, one-on-one tutoring can help. Tailored Tutoring will design a customized tutoring program aimed at improving your child’s comprehension, skills, and ultimately, grades.
Many parents are often concerned about their children’s academic potential even before the first day of kindergarten. Our tutors can also work with Pre-K students on pre-reading and numeracy skills.

Homeschool/Supplemental Support
There are many reasons why a home school student would benefit from tutoring: to build basic skills, to get outside help with academic challenges, to experience something new, or simply to gain more confidence. We provide small group and one-on-one instruction in subjects that home school parents do not have the time or expertise to address. Please give us call to allow us to support you!
